Field Master – Light Cultivator for Efficient Shallow Tillage

The Field Master Light Cultivator is a proprietary Satex development designed specifically for shallow soil cultivation, with a working depth of up to approximately 15 cm. It is an ideal solution for stubble cultivation, and all operations where fast, economical and soil-friendly tillage is required.

The machine is available in both mounted and trailed versions, allowing every farm to choose the configuration best suited to its needs.

A key feature of the Field Master is the optional front-mounted Topper – a sharp cutting roller that chops crop residues before the tines engage the soil. This ensures immediate residue sizing and mixing in the upper soil layer, accelerates organic matter decomposition and significantly reduces the risk of blockages. As a result, the Field Master performs reliably even in fields with large amounts of plant residues.

Shallow cultivation offers several important agronomic benefits. It helps conserve soil moisture by breaking capillary water movement, reduces evaporation losses and stimulates rapid germination of volunteer plants and weeds, which can later be controlled mechanically. Crop residues left on the surface act as natural mulch, protecting the soil from erosion, overheating and moisture loss.
