The Satex Shark subsoiler/ deep cultivator is a robust, seriously engineered and highly efficient tillage implement that has been part of our product range for many years. Continuous development and fine-tuning have resulted in a mature, reliable machine designed to meet the real demands of modern agriculture.
One of the most important upgrades is the redesigned shank mounting system. These holders are easy to position, yet extremely stable during operation. The specially curved blades penetrate and loosen the soil effectively while significantly reducing draft force. Thanks to this optimized geometry, the Shark can be pulled up to 40% easier compared to many competing machines in the same category.
As standard, the machine is equipped with a single-row ring roller, ensuring optimal reconsolidation and a level surface. Upon request, it is also available with the spiked roller shown in the video – particularly useful in heavy soils where additional clod breaking and surface closing are required.
Deep soil loosening removes compacted layers without turning the soil. This improves water infiltration, air exchange and nutrient movement while allowing roots to grow deeper and stronger. The result is better soil structure, improved moisture management and more stable yields.
After years of conventional ploughing, a compacted layer known as the plough pan often develops beneath working depth. This barrier restricts root growth and prevents water from penetrating deeper soil horizons. The Satex Shark effectively breaks through this layer, restoring natural soil permeability and improving overall field conditions.
In modern reduced tillage practices, the subsoiler plays a vital role. It allows targeted loosening only where necessary, with minimal surface disturbance. This reduces fuel consumption, preserves soil moisture and supports biological activity in the soil. Over time, these benefits translate into lower production costs and healthier fields.
