The Satex Semi-Cultivator is probably one of our best-known machines. Its popularity comes from a well-thought-out design that combines excellent ground following, precise working depth and intensive clod breaking – all achieved in a single pass.
The machine layout is both logical and efficient. At the front, a heavy-duty clod breaking roller prepares the soil for further cultivation. This is followed by four rows of tines mounted on S-springs, with interchangeable tips – either spear points or duckfoot shares, depending on the application. Behind the tines, a levelling board evens the surface, while the rear clod breaking roller completes the job by reconsolidating the soil.
One of the key advantages of the Satex Semi-Cultivator is that the machine rests on rollers both at the front and rear. During operation, the tractor does not need to support the implement with the hydraulic arms – the machine virtually glides over the soil. This design ensures outstanding depth control and perfect terrain following, even on uneven fields.
Semi-cultivators are primarily used for post-stubble operations and seedbed preparation. They loosen the upper soil layer, incorporate crop residues and create a uniform surface ready for sowing. They are especially valuable in reduced tillage systems, where fast, energy-efficient and soil-friendly cultivation is essential.
A good seedbed must be fine-crumbled, level and properly consolidated. The Satex Semi-Cultivator delivers exactly that: intensive clod breaking, consistent working depth and excellent surface finishing in one pass. The result is improved seed-to-soil contact, faster and more uniform emergence, and stronger early crop development.
